We celebrated the end of the year not only with research, but also with song and dance. This year our research group has grown tremendously with visiting PhD students and our new PhD students in Chemistry. We also thank each of us for the good work we have done as we were able to get two MES and one NU grants. More power to all of us.

Our visiting Ph.D. students from ENU and KBTU presented their poster at the 10th International Conference on Nanomaterials and Advanced Energy Storage Systems (iness.kz) last August 4 to 6, 2022 at Nazarbayev University, Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan.

We had our 1st BBQ party of lab to take a break of the hectic lab schedule. This is a chance for us to relax and re-charged.

At last we can have our regular end of year Lab dinner after 2 years. We are also welcoming our two new members in our lab, Sherif (MSc Chem) and Aidyn (PhD in Life Sciences)
