This year, our lab once again celebrates International Women’s Day by recognizing the remarkable contributions of women in research, innovation, and our own academic community. International Women’s Day offers an important opportunity to reflect on the progress made toward gender equity while also acknowledging the work that still lies ahead.
Within our fmc² family, we are especially grateful for the dedication, leadership, and creativity of our female colleagues. Their work strengthens our research, enriches our collaborations, and inspires the next generation of scientists and scholars. Each project, publication, and mentorship effort reflects the collective spirit that drives our lab forward.
As in previous years, we also took a moment to celebrate together as a community. Small gestures of appreciation can carry meaningful impact, reminding us that a supportive and respectful research environment is built through everyday actions. Recognizing and uplifting one another remains an essential part of who we are as a team.
International Women’s Day is not only a celebration but also a reminder of our shared responsibility to continue building inclusive research spaces—where talent, curiosity, and dedication are valued equally.
To all the women in our lab and across the global research community: thank you for your contributions, your leadership, and the inspiration you bring to science every day. Happy International Women’s Day. #IWD2026
